While we pass by the United States Coast Guard Base, we will talk about the governmental agency who oversees certifying vessels and individuals operating on the water and ensure safety and suitability of each. They monitor our coasts and provide stability in international waters too, often boarding vessels that may be involved in illegal activities. We will also talk about the Galveston Beach Patrol who is charged with the responsibility of keeping the millions of visitors that flock to Galveston’s beaches each year.
