Our Goals
Gulf Coast Kids is building a comprehensive curriculum: Coastal Science Overview, Fisheries, and Biology, with modules covering Engineering, Shipping & Transportation, Entrepreneurship, Resiliency, and Public Safety Emergency Response. Each program is accessible to local K – 12 students and beyond, and will culminate in the creation of our Gulf Coast Sciences textbook. The more Gulf Coast children understand their environment, the more empowered they’ll be to pursue careers that protect, conserve, and shape the future of the region they call home.
Boat 101: What to Check Before You Leave the Dock and Basic Navigation
What might come as second nature to an experienced Captain could be super interesting to folks just getting into life on the water. It’s important for everyone to know the basics of safe boating.
